The Numbers

Ok.

So here are the numbers. I began my 40 day fasting journey on December 31st. However, let me state right up front that I am not engaging in some resolution as that is something I am not inclined toward.

I started at 10pm on the 31st so as of writing this post it has been 162 hrs. So far so good. Below are my numbers using a ‘over the counter’ body weight scale:

I am not focused on weight. It is a tool to learn how my body is adapting to the metabolic stress. But it isn’t the goal. I don’t have a goal weight. If anything, my focus is on body fat percentage.

Obviously I get hungry. When I get hungry it is moderately intense. However, as soon as I down some H2O, I’m good to go.

People who are learn about what I am doing think I’m bonkers. That very well may be. I am ok with that.

I’d rather be a crazy physically capable healthy person than a sane compromised individual.
